Hi there! We’re Adam and Jeremy from Los Angeles, California! Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. We are incredibly grateful that you are considering us to be your child’s adoptive parents!
We deeply admire your decision to place your child for adoption. We know you aren’t making this decision lightly. In our house, you’ll always be known as the strong and selfless woman who made our family possible.
We are so excited to become parents, and we hope that our profile shows you a bit about who we are and the home we can provide for your child. If you choose us to go on this adoptive journey with you, we will provide a home that’s filled with love, learning, and laughter.
So, thank you for getting to know us a bit better! We can’t wait to meet you and get to know you, too.
Both of us have wanted to be dads for a very long time, and we’ve always known that we wanted to adopt. In the gay community, we often talk about our “chosen family.” Those are the people in our lives who, even if not blood related, we can always count on to be by our side, through good times and bad. For us, adoption is a chance to bring a child into our chosen family.
We met in San Francisco, California in 2014, right after we both finished graduate school. On our second date, we went for a long hike outside the city where we talked about our families, our favorite TV shows, and our hopes for the future. Jeremy laughed at Adam’s (often corny) jokes, and Adam tried desperately to keep up with how fast Jeremy could hike! From that day on, we were inseparable.
A few years later, Adam brought Jeremy back to San Francisco and proposed at the top of a hill overlooking the Bay. Though we twice had to cancel our in-person wedding due to the pandemic, we had a wonderful small, virtual ceremony with our closest friends and family. Earlier this year, we decided to make the move to Los Angeles to be closer to Jeremy’s family. Now that we’re here, we’re so excited to take this next step and expand our home from two to three!
Adam is a true kid at heart. His whimsy and child-like wonderment make an appearance each day. It might be dancing in the kitchen to Dolly Parton or watching Gonzo with glee in a Muppets movie. Adam is an extrovert who enjoys connecting with new friends and reminiscing with old friends. His energy brightens up the room, making everyone he talks to feel welcomed and valued.
I know Adam will be an excellent father because he is an excellent man. Because he is thoughtful, loving, and devoted, he will be both an exemplary role model and a constant source of affection.
It is in Adam’s nature to help others. Whether it is making me tea when I have a sore throat, reading a resume for a friend, or representing clients who can’t pay for legal services, Adam seeks to be of service to others. I am so excited to become a father with Adam by my side!
I currently work in the Los Angeles office of a major law firm. My firm has won a number of awards for its family-friendly policies, and as a new adoptive parent I will get to take 4 months off to spend with our child.
Outside of work, I love exploring everything LA has to offer: incredible food, beautiful beaches, hiking, and museums. I can’t wait to experience the city through the eyes of our child!
I can’t wait to watch Jeremy be a dad. He is patient, kind, and cares deeply for the people closest to him. I know that he will be an attentive, loving father and set an amazing example for our future child. I love how hard Jeremy works for his students. His classroom is such a welcoming and engaging learning environment, and I’m excited to watch him instill a love of learning in our child.
Jeremy has a very calming presence. His even-keeled nature has been a great counterpoint to my more exuberant personality. He is an introvert, but when he talks, people listen. I love talking to him about the world around us, because I feel like I always learn something new. Jeremy is so gentle and kind with our dog, Bella, who looks at him with such incredible love and affection. I love coming home after work and seeing Bella curled up next to Jeremy while he’s reading. I just know Jeremy will be such an amazing father!
After college, I knew I wanted to be a teacher because I could combine my love of literature and history and my desire to connect with young people, so I moved to California to attend graduate school in Education at UC Berkeley. I have mostly taught high school freshmen because I love helping to guide them on their journey through high school.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hiking, watching tv, and taking walks with our dog. Also, the best perk of being a teacher – having summers off to spend months of quality time with our child!

Jeremy’s mom Merle lives only 15 minutes from us. She is so excited for her first grandchild, and plans to be a very active, involved grandma! Merle has spent 25 years as a preschool teacher and can’t wait to use her knowledge and expertise in early childhood education with our child.
Jeremy’s extended family is also here in Los Angeles. His cousins’ kids (3 boys and 3 girls) can’t wait to babysit and introduce our child to a whole host of games and activities.
Adam’s family lives in Connecticut and Colorado. His dad recently retired and can’t wait to visit and spend time playing with our child. Adam’s mom and stepmom also work with kids: at an elementary school and a library.
Adam is the oldest of 12 grandkids. He has a particularly close relationship with his cousin Evan, who was adopted as an infant.
Bella is an adorable mix of Shar Pei, Basenji, and Australian Cattle Dog. We adopted her from a shelter when she was 3. She loves going on strolls, getting belly rubs, and lounging in the sun. Every evening before dinner we go on a walk with her around the neighborhood.
Bella is very gentle and calm with children, and we know she’ll be a loving companion to your child!
We love living in Los Angeles, California! We live on a quiet street lined with palm trees just north of Los Angeles, California. We have a wonderful park just a few blocks from our house along with walking trails and a public library close by. Our neighborhood also has a wide variety of restaurants from all different cultures which we love to explore.
Whether going to the beach, hiking in the hills, or seeing the attractions at Disneyland and Universal Studios, we have endless fun to share with your child right here in our backyard!
Though the great weather in LA allows us to spend a lot of time outside, we also love spending time in our house. Our home has a large open living room that allows us to spend a lot of time together as a family. Adam can be cooking, Jeremy can be reading on the couch, and our child can be playing games or with the dog all in the same space.
The school system in our neighborhood is excellent (Jeremy’s is only 5 minutes away!), and Jeremy’s mom teaches at a preschool right down the street.
We can’t thank you enough for taking the time to learn about us and our family and considering us as adoptive parents for your child. We are committed to providing your child with a home filled with unconditional love, lifelong learning, and incredible adventures.
