I am Adik from California! I want to express my gratitude for you taking the time to get to know me. It means so much to get a small opportunity to connect with you in this way. It takes such courage, compassion, and unconditional love to make this decision and I hope that you continue to find peace during this process. I look forward to meeting you and welcome any questions you may have for me.

Adoption is something that I have carefully considered for many years. I did not make this decision lightly, as I’m sure you have considered your decision carefully as well. I have always dreamt of my own family, and I truly believe that parenthood is about unconditional love, care, and connection not just in DNA. I am deeply committed to adoption and providing my future child the type of care and connection my mother provided to me.

My past made me a strong person. I am fluent in two languages- English and Armenian. I was born to Armenian parents. We immigrated to Germany when I was 4 and then moved to the United States when I was 6 years old. I began first grade in America speaking no English at all. All of the moves, transitions, and adjustments helped develop the resiliency that I still carry with me today. I spent my childhood in Glendale, California where I lived with my mother, father, and brother. I was the first member of my family to earn a high school and college degree.

In my personal time I enjoy focusing on personal well-being. I work out several days a week, meditate daily and journal. I also enjoy cooking and doing puzzles. I am a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan and love watching games on Sundays. One of the best trips of my life was to Lambeau Field to see them play in person! I also love spending time with my friends and family, they are a huge part of my life and support system. I share my home with my very sweet 16-year-old cat Tessa. I rescued Tessa and her sister Tazz, when they were small kittens. I have a deep love for animals and enjoy visiting them at my favorite animal rescue called The Gentle Barn. It makes me so happy to connect with the rescued farm animals there.

I can always count on their love and support! My mom, Jasik, has provided me with unconditional love and support throughout my entire life. She is not only my mother, but also one of my best friends. She lives just a few minutes from me and is so excited to be a grandmother, she can hardly wait. She is so much of what I want to be in a mother: wise, kind, brave, and humble. My father, Khachik, was a kind and generous man, he always had a smile on his face. Unfortunately, he passed away in April of 2020, but I learned so much from him to pass on to the next generation. My brother, Ara, like my father, is very funny, intelligent, and outgoing. He lives close to me, so I see him often as well.

My extended family is full of aunties, uncles, and cousins. We are very close and spend lots of time together including holidays, family get-togethers, and celebrations.

I also have many friends who have become like family to me over the years.

I grew up in Glendale and still live here today. There are beautiful parks, excellent schools, libraries, and museums. Child-friendly activities in the community and surrounding communities include Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens, Deukmejian Wilderness Park, Descanso Gardens, Brand Library and Art Center, and We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym. Glendale is a beautiful and safe city. I love the many outdoor and indoor activities for kids and their families.

Tessa can be very silly! Tessa is very sweet, gentle and has a calm demeanor. She loves being around people and likes to get lots of attention.

I am a licensed mental health therapist (LCSW). I provide treatment to children, adolescents, families, and adults. I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology and my master's degree in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach. I’m employed full time at a community mental health agency where I’m the Director of the Medical Records Department. I also have my own private practice where I provide counseling to clients that have mental health needs. I’m very fortunate to work remotely full time which will provide me the opportunity to spend quality time as a new parent.

I am very fortunate to have an incredible support system that will help me as I begin this beautiful new journey of motherhood.
