Allison and Brian

Dear Birth Mother

We are Allison aned Brian plus our daughter, Hannah, from Sonoma County, California. We are so excited and honored that you are reading our profile!

We have hoped, wished, and prayed for you for a very long time. Although we are tremendously blessed already, our family and hearts are not yet complete. The honor of raising two children has been a dream in our hearts for many years and we can’t wait for the day that this dream comes true. We can only imagine the enormity of your decision and we are grateful for your time and consideration. We have the utmost respect for you and we want to assure you that your child will always know you as a selfless superhero. Please know that we are fully committed to this beautiful child knowing the love and sacrifice that brought us all together. How greatly loved this child is already! As you read our profile, we hope you will learn more about our family, what we enjoy doing, and ultimately what brings us the most joy to our lives, the love we have for each other. We hope we can be part of your journey.

About Us: Hello from Sonoma County! We are loving, fun, and a little bit nerdy! We have been happily married for 12 joyful years. We met in 2005 in San Francisco and have been best friends ever since. Brian followed his heart from Denver to “the City” and we began our journey together. After dating for a year and a half, Brian proposed on Allie’s favorite beach in Lake Tahoe and she said “Yes!” Surrounded by our family and friends, we celebrated our wedding vows on a beautiful Saturday in June.

In 2012, we were blessed to welcome our first child Hannah. We are blessed to share the joy of a daughter. She brings life and laughter into our home and each day builds on the joy of the last. We enjoy spending summers at the family cabin at the lake, trying new cuisines in the city, going to musicals, cheering on the SF Giants and Niners, being with family and friends, and sitting down to dinner together each evening. We love taking our dogs for walks and enjoying nature in the beautiful place we live. We have both had a heart for adoption since we have known each other and are excited for our family to grow even more.

Dear Birth Mother

About Allison

I grew up in a small town in Northern California in a house that was bursting with love. My parents always showed unconditional love and stressed the importance of faith, family, and gratitude.

Education has always been an important part of my life. I have been an elementary school teacher for 14 years and not a day goes by where I don’t learn something from my students. My favorite part of teaching is working with students with challenges. They are the bright lights that I show up for every day and they teach me so much more than they know.

I love spending my days outdoors, swimming, biking, and playing with Hannah. Seeing her grow and thrive is such a blessing. Our family enjoys spending time together and especially enjoys cooking, baking, and having BBQs. I am an animal lover to my core (except spiders)! I will hold any lizard, hamster, duckling, mouse, dog, cat, or bunny any chance I get!

By Brian: Allison embodies the word “love!” She is the most patient, honest and giving person I have ever met. Watching her bring joy to our daughter makes me step up my “Dad Game” every day! She is incredibly strong and always puts others before herself. As a teacher, she is able to translate her joy into learning and encourages her kids to be the best that they can be. I am so lucky and blessed to be married to my best friend and such a wonderful, loving and strong woman!

About Brian

I was an only child and my parents stressed the importance of having a good education and a really strong work ethic. As a kid, I loved being a scout, safety patrol officer and member of the drama club which taught me how to enjoy life and many more life lessons that I continue to cherish to this day.

After learning the benefits of being able to help others with their computer problems, I’ve been blessed to work my way up in the IT world to being a senior network engineer. One of the awesome benefits of working in IT is that I usually work from home which helps me to make being the best dad and husband I can my first priority.

I love spending time with Hannah. Seeing her brings me so much joy and helps me to remember what it is like to be a kid again! I love reading books and playing games with her. Even though I can’t compete, I love being part of her passion for dancing, including having family dance parties in our living room. I love being a father to Hannah and will always bring the same amount of love, care and affection to the table for your child as well.

By Allison: Brian is a hard worker, a dedicated father and husband and a very involved dad. He is calm, cool, and collected would give you the shirt off his back and the shoes off his feet. He will go to great lengths to help out a friend, family member, and even someone he doesn’t know. He reaches out to those in need, always offering to lend a helping hand. Brian is a great role model for Hannah. He is an excellent baker and often shares his joy with our daughter, teaching her how to make German dishes and tasty treats. He is the most selfless person I know. He is strong in his faith and demonstrates kindness to all. He is a “diamond in the rough” whom I am blessed to share life with.

About Hannah

Meet Hannah – The Big Sister to Be: Hannah is a gift and a joy. She is a strong, spirited, smart, and super imaginative nine year old girl who loves school, especially creative writing. Playing with her cousins and dogs, eating pasta with meatballs, and swimming in the lake is her idea of the perfect day. She loves dancing and has been taking classes since age two. She is often found dancing her way through chores, outings, and errands. Music and movement bring her joy. Her laugh is infectious and she is a great snuggler. Hannah is so excited to be a big sister.

A note from Hannah: “Hi. I’m Hannah. I’m 9 3/4 years old. I love to dance with my team. I love to bake, cook, swim, draw, and go shopping. My favorite food is chocolate cake. I like playing with my dogs Freddy and Marla. I’m excited to have a baby brother or sister because I have been waiting a long time. I can’t wait to play with them and teach them to dance.”

Our Home is a Happy Place: We live in Sonoma County, in Northern California. It is the place we always want to return to and the place we miss when we are away on the tail end of a vacation. We share our neighborhood with many other young families and there are many bike paths, grassy fields, parks, and playgrounds to enjoy. We love sharing our home with our family and friends and hosting gatherings and BBQs.

In our small city, there is a lot to do and a lot of different kinds of people! We really love that our city has the perfect balance of suburban and rural areas. You can’t go far without seeing cows and sheep grazing in the fields in one area, and a hopping downtown in another. We are blessed to have some of the best schools in the county and a city that offers a lot to kids and grown ups alike. We are just a couple hours away from everything!

Our Family and Friends

We love our family and friends and are very fortunate to have their love and support! We live close to Allison’s parents, sister, cousins, aunts and uncle, and spend a lot of time with them celebrating birthdays, holidays, and anything in-between. We have established a diverse group of close friends who have introduced us to new and exciting adventures, hobbies, and cuisine! We also make each other laugh, even when the jokes aren’t funny 🙂

Meet Freddy and Marla: We are so grateful to have Freddy and Marla as members of our family. Both of our pups were adopted from a local rescue organization after being found on the streets and have won our hearts forever. They are the “King” and “Queen” of our house (and they know it too)! They often act like an old married couple and are very affectionate. So gentle and loving with even the youngest members of our family, they are looking forward to being “big brother” and “big sister.” Even though they are small they have big hearts and pretend they can run with the big dogs.

5 Super Fun Family Traditions:

  1. Summers at the lake

In Closing – One Last Thank You: Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our family. We know the choices you are facing are incredibly challenging. We respect you and can assure you that your child will always know unconditional love and what an incredible blessing they are to so many. We hope we can join you on this journey.
