Danielle and Kris
We are Danielle and Kris from Los Angeles, California. We are extremely grateful that you are considering us as adoptive parents.
Our seven-year fertility journey has been taxing but has not shaken our faith and desire to provide a wonderful upbringing for a child. Becoming parents is our hearts’ greatest longing.
From the moment we married, we have wanted to start a family. We have so much love to give, and there’s nothing we’d like more than to share that love with a child. We know that adoption is our path to creating the family of our dreams.
Regardless of whether or not you choose us, we want you to know that we respect the brave and difficult decision you are considering, and we honor your willingness to explore adoption as an expression of love for your child.
All of our love and blessings,
Danielle and Kris
About Us: Twelve years ago, we caught each other’s eyes during a yoga class in Manhattan. We instantly felt a connection and exchanged email addresses. We saw each other regularly at the yoga studio but did not go on a date until two years later after both attending an event with the Dalai Lama. During a break between His Holiness’ teachings, Kris saw Danielle in a new light and had to ask her out!
After years of dating, we hiked the Inca trail in Peru for Kris’ birthday. We arrived at Machu Picchu on the Winter Solstice and after meditating, Kris got down on one knee and proposed. We married in 2013!
- Kris’ ancestry covers almost all continents.
- Danielle is a trained actor who attended New York University’s famous acting program: Tisch School of the Arts.
- Kris trained kung fu with the same Master as the hip hop group, Wu Tang Clan, and even traveled to China twice to train.

- We love traveling to countries with cultures different from ours. Some favorite trips—Thailand, Japan, and India.
- We’re big time music lovers and have attended music festivals around the world.

- We’ve taught surf lessons and beach yoga for charity and for children with special needs.
About Danielle, By Danielle: I grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina and moved to New York City for college. After graduating with a Theater degree, I acted in all mediums, including a long standing role on a children’s television show. Acting was my lifelong passion until I discovered my true calling – Yoga.
As a yoga teacher and yoga therapist, I help people become their best selves. Teaching yoga has prepared me for motherhood, as the practice itself requires selflessness, presence, and patience.
I laugh easily, often act silly, and try not to take life too seriously. An eternal optimist, I’m happy, even-keeled, and super nurturing. I love to travel, dance, run, cook, sing, shop, hike and hug!
About Danielle, By Kris: It’s undeniable to anyone who meets my wife that she is love and sunshine. If her bright smile and her loving eyes are beaming at you, it’s impossible not to smile back and feel warmth in your heart. Spreading love is her highest reason for living and it would give her no greater joy and purpose than to share that love with a child.
Danielle was born to be a mother. Her maternal nature is clear to everyone she meets. I’ve seen it time and time again, people come to her yoga class expecting a good workout and have a moving and sometimes life-changing experience. Danielle always sees the good in others- she’s protective of those she loves and is an endless well of love. Your child will be raised by a mother with deep wisdom, endless laughter, and boundless love.

About Kris, By Kris: I come from a family of immigrants. My mom was born in Peru. Her father was from China and her mother was native to Peru, both Spanish and Native South American. My dad was born in Uruguay and his parents were Polish. I grew up playing my dad’s records and loving all kinds of music. After graduating from Penn State, I became a music talent agent. I even started my own agency, which I sold after I met Danielle and realized I wanted to settle down and start a family.
We moved to Los Angeles from NYC and shortly after I earned my MBA. I now happily work for Avocado, an all-natural mattress company that is committed to using sustainable materials. I primarily work from home and will be very present in raising your child.
Many aspects of my life are fulfilling, but a void still exists. Becoming a dad has always been a role I envision for myself and would make my life complete.
About Kris, By Danielle: Kris is the most devoted husband and will be the most present and devoted father. He lives to make me happy, and I know he will do the same for your child. He has a high moral compass and values justice. Simply put, he’s a man of integrity who always puts family first.
Kris is a “guy’s guy,” he’s outdoorsy, loves fixing things, and he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty. He’s also a “girl’s guy.” Specifically, he is sensitive, emotionally intelligent, affectionate, and a fantastic communicator. He’s also a generous, loyal friend who loves helping people.
We both love the arts, dancing, travel, nature, outdoor sports, and eating! We’ve traveled the world together and can’t wait to bring a child on more adventures with us so we can experience the world through their eyes.

We live on a quiet, tree-lined street near the beach in Los Angeles, California with parks, hiking trails, and biking paths also nearby. Our house has 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a private backyard with a Zen-like vibe, and lots of room to play.

Our Family and Thank You
We feel fortunate that both of our parents have been married for almost 50 years because we each have had excellent examples of what a loving marriage looks like.
We are both middle children, each with one older brother and one younger sister.
Every Thanksgiving, we fly to North Carolina where Danielle’s parents host a massive feast with lots of extended family and friends. After eating, Danielle leads the family in her favorite Thanksgiving tradition where everyone shares what they are grateful for. It’s always inspiring and reminds us of what is most important in life: Family.
We fly to Washington DC to spend every Christmas with Kris’ parents and siblings. It’s a big crew, as we have six young nieces and nephews. Christmas week is packed with games, nature walks, movies, and lots of food and laughter!
We regularly see Danielle’s sister and brother-in-law, who live in San Diego and are also working on starting a family of their own. Several times a year our parents come to visit.
Thank You Again: Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to learn more about us. We know that we have been blessed with lots of opportunities in our lives and all we want is to give all that we have and all that we are to your child.
