Jason and David
We are Jason and David from Los Angeles, California. We’re happy to have this chance to introduce ourselves and really appreciate you taking the time to get to know us.
- LOVING… We very much care for each other, a child would grow up surrounded by that love.
- GREAT COOKS … David is especially talented in the kitchen, he makes an amazing lasagna!
- HAPPY… There’s a lot in our life to be grateful for, and we don’t take that for granted.
- ACTIVE… We’re always biking, going for a swim, or climbing up and down a mountain!
- INSPIRED… We are always trying to be better, more creative and giving people.
We have so much love to offer a little one and want to make sure you feel supported and cared for as well. Our lives are very happy and exciting, the one piece missing is a child to share it with. After getting to know us a bit, we hope you’ll see the love and happiness we have to offer. This can’t be an easy decision and we thank you for checking us out.
Our story starts in New York City where we met back in the summer of 2013. New York is a magical place to fall in love. That summer was filled with bike rides through Central Park, paddle boarding in the Hamptons, and lots of amazing dinners. We’ve always felt like a perfect fit and funny enough, we met a psychic who agreed! We decided to make it official in 2017 and got married out in the Red Rock Mountains near Las Vegas. Life brought us to Los Angeles around the same time. We love nature and spending time outdoors, so California suits us great.
Some of our favorite things to do in LA:
- Trail runs
- Playing in the ocean
- Mountain biking
- Weekends in Joshua Tree National Park
- Yoga and meditation (it’s LA after all)
- Celebrity spotting at the grocery store
- Having friends over for pool time and dinner
We have an amazing life and CAN’T WAIT to share it with a little one.
I grew up just outside Seattle, WA and yes, it’s rainy, but also really green and beautiful. I still go back home often to visit my mom, Rochelle and my brother, Ari. Ari is married to a really cool woman, Elena and they just had a baby girl Mila. They had a really difficult time getting pregnant and Mila is nothing short of a miracle. Growing up, our house was loud and crazy and filled with love and joy. There were sleepovers at Grandma’s with cousins and pool parties at uncle’s houses.
I’m excited to be a dad. Parenting is hard work, but life is hard work – and the most worthwhile parts have been the hard parts. I’m excited to be there to share in the achievements, I feel equally ready to be there for the skinned knees and other tough parts of growing up. I’m so excited to get to know our child. I want to learn who they want to be, what their interests are and I want to support them, whoever they are. I’m at a point in my life where I’m ready for the responsibility. My work is very fulfilling and I have a lot of flexibility with my schedule and can give a lot of myself to our future child.
About David, by Jason
David is the most inspiring person I know! He’s full of ideas and is always thinking of new adventures we can take on. If I ever need a little pep talk, David knows just what to say, it works every time!
Over the years I have gotten to see David around different children and am always amazed at how patient, fun, and happy he is with them. His smile really can light up the room, it’s my favorite thing to see when I come home 🙂
I grew up in Chicago, IL the youngest of 3 brothers. Believe it or not, we all shared one small bedroom and got along! My mom was adopted when she was 12 and I grew up knowing her story and always felt connected to the idea of adoption. I was often painting, making arts and crafts, or coming up with some crazy idea like turning my bedroom into a family casino for the day. Those are some of my best childhood memories, and to this day, I love making things and really, really look forward to art projects with a little one!
When I decided I wanted to work for a magazine in New York, I started saving up money to move there. My dream came true and I eventually started working for a fashion magazine. Years later, I got a dream job working for a fashion photographer! For 13 years I helped make pictures for American and Italian Vogue as well as brands like Prada. Now that we’re in LA, I work for myself and still make fashion pictures for some amazing brands like Moschino and Louis Vuitton – I’m very lucky! Since I work for myself, I can be flexible with my time and can easily see myself being a dad and sharing this great life we have with a child.
About Jason, by David
Jason is a stabilizing force in my life. He’s self-assured and confident, patient and relaxed. I am grateful for Jason every day. He’s got a quiet confidence and assurance about himself that I think kids can see and are naturally attracted to. He’s great at engaging kids creatively. Jason is a super supportive uncle to 7 nieces and nephews. I know he’ll be a present and engaged Dad. I feel so lucky to build a family with Jason.
Our Home and Community
We have a beautiful home in Beverly Hills, CA. David takes a big interest in architecture and we are really lucky. There’s a nice garden and a swimming pool and a beautiful view of the city. We live near a library with lots of kids activities and parks and have a great farmers market to go to on the weekends. The schools in our community are excellent. We spend time at the ocean on the weekends and have some land out in the desert near Joshua Tree. Our neighborhood is the kind of place where our future child will be able to learn how to ride a bike and play outside a lot. We also have an apartment in New York City and just downstairs is a giant park, right on the river with tons of playgrounds and sports fields. We are very fortunate to have two homes and have space in both for a child.
We love our friends! Many have been in our lives for over 20 years. Because of our work, we’ve been able to travel the world and have met some awesome people that we now call friends. So when we visit Paris, Brazil, Japan, or Amsterdam, we’re always welcomed by a friend or two.
We are both very loyal and connected to our families. David’s brother Ari just had a new baby girl, Mila and it’s been a joy to spend hours on facetime! David’s family is in Seattle and Jason’s is in Chicago. We travel pretty regularly to both places and stay involved! Every year we spend Christmas in Chicago with Jason’s family. We love a big Christmas with lots of cousins and family.
- We promise to be present and engaged with our future child.
- We want to raise a family that supports each other and builds each other up.
- We can’t promise there won’t be painful moments, but we can promise to be there for the difficult times and there to celebrate the achievements.
What more can we say? Thanks for checking us out. We have a life full of love and are so excited to have a child. You’d be giving us an incredible gift. We will never be able to properly thank you, but we hope we get the chance to try.
