Jason & Judy

Hello! We are Judy & Jason from CA!

We thank you for considering us as adoptive parents. We know that this may be a difficult decision for you, but we admire and respect your courage, strength, and love that has lead you to this moment.

While we are both extremely excited for this opportunity, we fully understand that this is not just about us – it is about you as well! We have always known we wanted to be parents but after many years it became apparent that it was not going to happen naturally. We knew then that adoption would be our path to make our dream of having a family come true.

While neither of us became an Olympic swimmer or professional baseball player (though we both wanted to!), we think you’ll find us both to be down-to-earth, hard-working, funny, and fun-loving people who both have a lot of love and guidance to give to a child! Thanks again, and we can’t wait to take the first step with you!

Our Story: We met in October of 2002. at a local Mexican restaurant that Jason Dj’d at Friday and Saturday evenings. Judy and her friends would go there to listen to music and dance. Judy had the courage to talk to Jason and the dating began.

We dated for many years as we were getting to know each other and also get our careers on track. Jason proposed on the hottest day of the hottest month in the hottest city.

With our friends and family by our side we were married in 2008 in La Jolla, California with our favorite background, the Pacific Ocean. We both have built successful careers, have a great home, and a tremendous group of friends and family, we have yet to achieve our greatest success: having a positive influence in the life of a child that is our own.

Meet Judy

I grew up in Calipatria, a small town in southern California. I am the youngest of five with four older brothers. I was very much a tomboy growing up as I wanted to do whatever my brothers were doing. Growing up, I played basketball, volleyball and was on our local swim team.

I moved to San Diego to get my bachelor’s degree at San Diego State University. I am a store leader for a national retail chain and love being able to help others become great leaders. I have been blessed to work for my company for over 25 years. I have great benefits and flexibility in my schedule, which will come in handy when raising a child.
I am a social butterfly. I have really close friends that are a big part of my life. I love being able to spend time with them, whether it’s watching games, playing some golf, or just hanging out and enjoying some laughter.

Meet Jason

I was born and raised in Kansas City, and consider it a great place for a kid to grow up. I was heavily into sports, and loved competing in just about any kind of game, whether it be organized sports or board or computer games.

While I was in High School, I started dreaming of living in a warmer climate, and eventually made the decision to move to San Diego permanently in 1997.

For the past 16 years, I’ve worked in the Education field, and currently serve as a Director in the California State University system. I really enjoy serving students and playing a small part in them reaching their goals and achieving their dreams. I work very close to our home and get all holidays off which will be perfect when we have a child.

I’m a bit of a hobby guy, and love projects and learning new things. I enjoy building retro arcade machines (like Pac Man), love to film and edit videos, and have a passion for film and music (currently learning to play guitar!), and still make mix CD’s for my wife from time to time!

I’m lucky to have a couple very close friends that I grew up with who have also moved to the San Diego area. All of us get together often and really enjoy watching and rooting for all our Kansas City area sports teams!

Our Family & Friends

Judy: I have a big and close family. My parents were married over 50 years before my dad passed away a few years ago. I have four nephews, three nieces, one great nephew, and four great nieces and they are my world. I enjoy spending time with them and watching them grow into successful adults.

I am lucky to have my extended family around me. We get together for many family celebrations. About four times a year I get together with a few of my girl cousins just to catch up on life and enjoy each other.

Jason: I have a small, but close family. I consider myself extremely lucky to have amazing parents who instilled into me a strong moral compass, and helped me become the man I am today.

I have a sister, two nephews, and a niece. As they don’t live close by, I really enjoy the times we do get to spend together, face-time sessions, and really love playing video games online with my nephews (can’t stop laughing when this happens!).

Our friends and family mean the world to us and are a source of enormous support and love. Our child will grow up with the love and devoted attention of many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Our Home and Closing Thoughts

We have a beautiful house in Escondido, California. It is a small community with lots of young families. Our community often plans fun events throughout the year to get families together. It is a great place to raise a family!

Our biggest holiday we enjoy in our house is Christmas. We host our family on Christmas Eve. Jason decorates the outside of the house as Judy decorates the inside of the house. Last year we were able to have both sides of our family together for Christmas in our home. It was a great event and made us feel very blessed.

We are looking forward to your child feeling the joy, love and laughter that comes with all our family traditions.

In Closing: We can never pretend to know how difficult this decision is for you, but we know that we will give all our heart and love to raise your child. Family is very important to us and we want to enhance that with a child.

We want to make sure our child knows that they will always be loved and cared for. Our hope is to provide a safe and loving home for a child and instill great family values that our parents instilled in us.
