Kim and Jordan

We are Jordan & Kim along with our boys, Aaron & Ollie. We live in California. We want you to know that we admire your strength and courage in considering adoption, and know this decision stems from the strong love you have for your baby.

We’re thinking about you as you’re going through this process and are excited about the possibility that our lives could cross in this beautiful way. We are honored that you are considering us.

We promise if you choose us your child will have a warm home filled with laughter, safety, support, joy, and an abundance of love. We are a happy and loving family devoted to creating a close-knit family bond. We value communication, understanding, honesty, kindness towards others and quality time together. We are absolutely overwhelmed with excitement at the thought of adopting a child and completing our family.

About Us: We met in 2010 on We spent countless hours on the phone before deciding to meet up for lunch and we have been inseparable ever since. Jordan proposed on Crown Beach in Alameda on a very windy day in 2012. The wind nearly blew us over! We were married in Sunol, California on a small, beautiful vineyard in 2013 surrounded by our closest friends and family. We took an unforgettable honeymoon traveling through Italy enjoying wine, food, and culture. Since then, our life has continued to be a sweet, amazing adventure.

We’ve always loved the idea of adoption. After our latest heartbreaking pregnancy loss, we felt it was time to make that idea a reality.  We also each have a cousin that was adopted!

We’ve always wanted three kids to complete our family, and this process is such a magical way to fulfill this dream.

We value quality family adventure time and want our kids to have the gift of traveling the world and experiencing different places and cultures.

Living in California allows us to easily visit beach towns, aquariums, amusement parks, and more! We also love to visit Hawaii! Our favorite place to relax and play is Disney’s Aulani. When the kids are older we plan to take them on international trips.

Fun Facts:

  • We get into Disneyland for free! (So we go a lot!)
  • Every July 4th, the kids get to decorate their bikes and ride down Main Street in the parade.
  • Aaron and Ollie each have their names in the credits of a Disney/Pixar film because they were born while Jordan was working on the films!
  • We have kayaked with whales off the coast of Maui and snorkeled over sunken shipwrecks in Bermuda.
  • One of our favorite family traditions is decorating for Halloween. We go out as a family each year to buy more decorations, and each year our front yard is more and more exciting!

About Jordan

Hi! I am Jordan. I love sci-fi, bolognese, hockey, beer tasting and hiking. I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and was the second child of four. Growing up I was always closest to my sister Melanie. My favorite things to do were playing soccer, exploring the neighborhood, and making stop-motion animated movies. My parents were very supportive of me in my creative endeavors, so I decided to attend the Savannah College of Art & Design in Georgia to pursue my dream of making movies.

My Career: I work on animated movies! As a lighting artist, I craft the light, shadow, color, atmosphere, and mood of scenes. It was always a dream of mine to work in movies, and I’m so happy to say I’ve made that dream a reality! I’ve been recently promoted to Director of Photography where I’ll be leading the lighting team on an upcoming film!

About Jordan by Kim: What stuck out to me the most when I first met Jordan was his kind heart. He’s honest, full of integrity, and will go out of his way to help anyone.

Jordan is an amazing dad. He is always willing to jump into their imaginative play and become whatever character the kids want him to be. Every evening the boys race to play outdoor games with him like tag, baseball, and bikes. He is always making up silly songs, starting impromptu dance parties with the kids, or telling dad jokes. He is great at talking through strong feelings with the kids when they are hurt, sad or angry. They go to him for a big comforting hug, or help solving a problem.

The kids and I love visiting him at his studio and watching his movies before they come out. I also enjoy getting to attend wrap parties with him and even premieres with celebrities in Hollywood!

Jordan makes an amazing steak, and everyone in the family is in love with his stuffed shells (and pasta sauce made from scratch!).

About Kim

Hi! I’m Kim. I love Alfred Hitchcock movies, theater & ballet performances, sushi, baking and Hawaii. I grew up in Fresno, California and was really close with my younger brother, Scott. We got along great and played together every chance we got. Growing up, I was very involved in choir and theater. My parents fostered a close relationship with extended family (aunts, uncles, grandparents, great-grandparents, cousins). I feel very fortunate to have grown up with so much support and I am so grateful that my own children will continue to have these family members in their lives and to be surrounded with so much love.

My Career: I am a stay-at-home mom! Before kids I was an elementary school teacher for ten years. I taught a diverse group of kids from all different cultures. It was extremely rewarding to work with students from all walks of life and help them to achieve academic success. When our oldest son, Aaron, was born, I made the decision to become a stay-at-home mom. Fortunately, I have been able to use my skills as an educator to help Aaron with his school work and I also enjoy being a volunteer in Ollie’s preschool class.

I look forward to continuing to stay at home to help raise our future child as well. Our days are filled with trips to the park, museums or the zoo as well as activities like swim, dance, and gymnastics.

About Kim by Jordan: Kim is the love of my life and the backbone of our family. When we first met, her radiant smile was most definitely the first thing that I noticed. Shortly after we started dating, I got pretty sick for a few weeks with the flu. Even though we had only been dating for several months, she took care of me and nursed me back to health. I knew right then and there that she was going to be an amazing mom to our future kids. As we’ve grown together, her capacity for kindness and generosity continues to amaze me.

Kim is an incredibly nurturing and supportive mom. It’s so inspiring to watch her with our boys; playing toys, participating in an educational activity, or just goofing around.

About Kim

Aaron & Ollie

We have two very sweet boys, seven year-old Aaron and three year-old Ollie.

They both truly love each other and look out for one another. They’re both so excited about adding a sibling to the family. We have no doubt they will welcome another sibling into their hearts with open arms. They will have wonderful playmates and a loving support system which we hope will lead to a lifelong connection between all three children.

Our Home & Community: We live in a waterfront suburb about 45 minutes from San Francisco. There are many parks, tons of open space, and trees everywhere.

We like to take family walks on a nearby trail and watch the ducks paddle around in the canal. We are members of a few different museums like the Oakland Zoo. We love that our children are growing up in such a diverse, and open-minded place.

We live in a 4-bedroom home with a playroom and backyard. You can usually find us in the backyard most evenings running around with the boys or sitting in our bench swing watching the kids on the swing-set, playhouse or trampoline. Our neighborhood is very peaceful and friendly with views of the hills and has great schools.

Meet Larry: Larry is a 3 year old, 9lb chihuahua. He is very sweet and patient with the kids. Aaron is afraid of the dark, so Larry sleeps in his room and keeps him safe from any closet monsters. He loves snuggling up to Aaron for a good movie and going on adventures with Ollie in the backyard.

Our Family

Kim’s family lives all throughout central and northern California. We are really close and we get together for kids’ birthdays and holidays. These celebrations are multi-generational with often up to 4 generations and over 20 people, and many cousins.

Kim’s parents come to visit often. The boys love spending time with their “Granny & Grandad.” Kim also has some family in Texas, and we occasionally fly out to visit.

Jordan’s family lives in St Louis, Missouri. We fly out there about once a year, and Jordan’s siblings and parents fly to our home to visit too. Jordan is part of a family of 4 kids, and there are many cousins for the kids to play with during visits. Jordan’s grandma lives in San Diego and we love to visit her and have a beach trip!

We Promise To:

  • Honor your role as the birth mother and to speak of your child’s beautiful adoption story.
  • Raise them with integrity and to be a kind and honest person.
  • Give them a life of love, adventure, travel, education, and the ability to pursue their dreams (whatever they may be).
  • Go on frequent trips to Disneyland as a family!
  • Love them unconditionally and forever.

In Closing: One Last thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us. We look forward to learning about you as well and can’t wait to hear from you. Whatever you decide, we wish you the best!
