DEAR BIRTHMOTHER…We would like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about the life we can provide for the child you carry. We thank you for your strength during a difficult and emotional time. Without your generosity and foresight, couples like us would never know the gift of family. There is no question that you as the birthmother will always be honored, respected, and spoken of joyfully in our home.
You are very important to us and we appreciate you taking the time to read this letter and look at our photos. We hope it will give you a glimpse into our life and the love, opportunities and fun we will provide for your child.
ABOUT US…We are an energetic couple ready to expand our family. We have been together for 11 years and have been happily married since 2003. Our relationship is incredibly strong and grounded in our deep friendship and respect for each other. We met at work and became great friends. We lived just blocks from each other and often spent our weeknights going to the gym and running together. Eventually our close friendship blossomed into love and we knew, on our first “official” date, that we would marry each other one day.
We were blessed to become a family in 2008 when our son, Landon, came to us through adoption. We still keep in touch with Landon’s birthmother through email and exchange photos with her a few times a year. We think the world of her and are incredibly thankful to her and our birthfather for giving us the gift of our son. We are very excited to add on to our family!

ABOUT KIRK…Kirk runs his own home theatre and in-home technology company. His office is located close to home which gives him the luxury of being home for dinner nightly and the flexibility to be come during the day if needed.
Kirk is a positive, caring and intelligent person. He always has a smile on his face and his positive energy is one of the reasons for his great success. Kirk is alwayson the go! He enjoys surfing, swimming, biking, waterskiing and competing in triathlons. He loves to surf on Saturday mornings with “the boys” and come home for blueberry pancakes.
Kirk was born and raised in a farming town in California with his parents and brother. We often visit our relatives and the family farm.
ABOUT STEPHANIE…Stephanie is a medical sales representative. She loves meeting with people and helping physicians build their business. One thing she likes about her job is the flexibility it allows for her to spend time with Landon and take him to classes and playdates.
Stephanie is someone you can count on to always be there, as a mother, daughter, friend, sister, aunt and wife. She is very affectionate and makes others feel good by being a good listener. Stephanie is goal-oriented and loves to exercise. Her favorite time of day is the morning when she is running on the beach as the sun rises (or snuggling in bed with her two boys when its too cold!) She also enjoys slowing down a bit and going for long walks with friends on the weekend.
Stephanie was born and raised in Southern California with her parents and two sisters whom live about 5 miles from us. She is a big sports fan and loves to go to games to cheer on her teams.
MEET LANDON….Our son Landon is three year old this year and is a smart, happy, energetic toddler. He loves going to the park, the beach, playing soccer, T-ball and going to art class. He will be starting pre-school in the Fall and he is super excited.
We share Landon’s adoption story with him often and although he is too young to undersand he will tell us once in a while “me ‘dopted”. He has a great group of friends from the park and five of them are also adopted. We think its wonderful that they all have a similar history.
Landon LOVES babies and asks us often for one so we know he is ready to be a big brother.
Our Life & Our Values
WHERE WE LIVE…We live in a close knit beach community in Southern California. Our home is just a few blocks from the ocean and we often spend evenings watching the sunset. Our backyard overlooks a 5-acre park and we spend a lot of our time there playing soccer and enjoying family picnics. We love the outdoors, staying in shape and spending time with our family and friends. Many of our close friends have babies and small children and we can’t wait to introduce our little addition to all of them.
Our neighborhod is very family-friendly and there are at least 15 kids under 3 years okd on our street alone. We often host barbecues at our home and we love the madhouse it turns into with little kids running everywhere! Our city has nationally recognized schools, family holiday events, great summer surf camps and dance programs. We can’t wait to take your child to the beach, parks and all of these events. We take Landon everywhere and love playing with him and all of his little friends.
WHAT WE VALUE MOST…We try to live by the “Golden Rule”. We believe in good manners, respect for self and others, compassion towards life and trying to leave the world a better place than we found it. Our friends characterize us as caring and supportive and have a lot of respect for the relationship we have developed with each other. We are the Godparents to two of our friends’ sons and our niece. We are honored to play such an important role in the children”s lives and we try to spend extra special time with each of them.
We love to travel! We own a timeshare which allows us to travel and experience new places. We bought the timeshare years ago with a family in mind, knowing that traveling with little ones will be easier if we have a kitchen and laundry available. We enjoy cooking together and like to host “Sunday Dinner” with our friends and their families. We love to bike ride on the weekends to our favorite breakfast place. We also love to play beach football and go to Disneyland or the Aquarium.
OUR EDUCATION PLANS…Education and opportunities are important to us. Right now it is probably hard to imagine your baby in preschool, much less college. However, it may help to know that your child will get everything he or she needs educationally. Your child will be able to attend any college that meets his or her interests and needs.

Adoption for us has been such a gift and we are very excited to be taking this journey again. Our families know how much we have wanted to add another child to our family and are all incredibly supportive of our decision.
We want to thank you again for taking the time to read our story. We hope this gives you a sense of who we are, what we do and how we live. We can only imagine the thoughts that keep you up at night as you consider your decision for your child.
We promise to provide a loving home, with lots of support from family and friends, to ensure your child is healthy, happy, safe and well loved. There is no greater gift we could ask from the world than to bring a baby into our home. Our hearts and arms are open and we are more than ready!
