Kirk & Stephanie
Hello from Stephanie & Kirk to you!
Thank you for taking time to learn more about us. We admire you for your decision to give life. Your love, selflessness and courage for your child will always be honored by our family. It is impossible for us to know exactly what you are going through, but we imagine choosing supportive parents for your child will bring you peace.
While we have struggled with the pain of infertility for years, we have never lost hope of becoming parents to an amazing child. Our promise to you is to allow your child to live a happy, full life with strong morals and values. We will do everything to help guide and encourage your child to dream big.
As parents, we will love unconditionally, protect, and support your child. It is truly a blessing to have this opportunity to grow our family through adoption.
Our Story: How we met, our dream and day-to-day life! We were both raised in California and have been best friends ever since our first date in high school. After 11 years of dating through college and securing our careers, we finally, finally said, “I DO.”
We had a traditional wedding and giant reception bash. Everyone we know showed up to celebrate with us, which made the wait well worth it! Falling in love at a young age was so special, and we are thankful we were able to grow up together. Just about all of our relatives say we have the best marriage, and we don’t disagree.
We love traveling and hope to show our child the world some day. Our day-to-day life in California includes visiting our friends and family, going to church, cooking together, watching The Voice and any activity outdoors. We thank God for our solid marriage and try to live our lives to the fullest.
Introducing Stephanie (by Kirk): Stephanie is fun, upbeat, compassionate, loving and sensitive. I see her in action regularly while she is babysitting our godchildren. When her brother and sister-in-law were both transitioning into new careers, Stephanie volunteered to babysit their son. They knew their son was in very good hands. Stephanie would send me videos throughout the day of her teaching our nephew sight words, new songs and dance moves.
When we visit my brother and sister-in-law’s house, their three kids run right past me for Auntie “Steeps.” She has been a big part of their lives and she loves them like her own. Stephanie is full of life, especially around children, and she is going to be a wonderful mother.
About Stephanie (written by Stephanie): I grew up in a small town surrounded by a supportive family and community. My parents raised me to know and trust God, to be thankful for everything, to work hard and be kind to others. My brothers and I loved playing sports, riding our bikes with our friends and cousins, camping, fishing and hiking together. My parents and grandparents always encouraged me to study hard in school, try out for as many activities as I desired, and especially emphasized to never give up on my dreams.
I volunteer with my grandmother at the church I was raised in. I love working with her and each week is a new adventure. Occasionally, I help Kirk with his work and we can honestly say we love spending the entire day together. We make a great team!
I am looking forward to being a full-time mom with our child. I will work hard to raise our child to be kind and caring. I look forward to creating a fun and exciting learning environment to help our child reach his or her full potential.
Introducing Kirk, by Stephanie: Kirk is hard working, a protector by nature and loves our family more than anything. He began working at the age of 13, lived with his grandmother for six months when he was 26 after his grandfather passed away, and if any of his family or friends called him right now for anything at all, he would miraculously show up. I know our child will be able to depend on Kirk as a father.
I immediately get a smile on my face as I imagine Kirk with our child. He is like a kid-magnet around our niece and nephews. They all want to be around his fun, outgoing personality. He can play with them for hours, from tag to paper airplane competitions to racing in the pool.
Kirk also has a soft and gentle side. During sleepovers with our nieces and nephew, Kirk prays with the kids thanking the Lord for all our blessings and leads the kids in their own prayers. Kirk always makes everyone around him – especially me – feel safe and secure.
About Kirk (written by Kirk): My childhood was great, because I was (and still am) very close with not only my parents, brother and sister, but also my eleven first cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles. They are all very excited to welcome our child into our great family. We grew up playing on the family ranch with all of our cousins, making up games and playing every sport you can imagine.
My immediate family spent much of our time together at sporting events, camping/hiking, playing cards and board games, and supporting each other at various school events. Our family is as close as any family I have ever known, and we can’t wait to expand our family and introduce all of them to our new addition.
I found a job less than a month after graduation, and I still work for the same company 13 years later.
I have maintained a close relationship with my entire family and our child will benefit from being surrounded by loving, kind hearted, fun people who will be his or her biggest fans.
Our Family & Faith
We both come from big, loving, close-knit families with strong Christian values. Our entire family has been praying for us to have a child. As you read our words and get a glimpse into our lives, we pray you know immediately in your heart how much love we have to share.
Our parents have been married for over 35 years and live nearby. Together we have three brothers, one sister and two sisters-in-law, all of whom cannot wait to be uncles and aunties. We have five godchildren and we make sure we are the biggest fans in their fan club. We love going to their Christmas programs, piano recitals, soccer or baseball games.
Favorite Tradition: One of our favorite family traditions is a week long camping trip – a tradition that is going on 33 years! Camping includes a “snack tent,” a talent show, and an awards ceremony!
Our Home and Closing Thoughts
Our Home and Neighborhood (and why we love living here): Our home in California is perfect because we are close to our families and can easily get away for a relaxing weekend in the mountains or at the beach. Our neighborhood is safe and family friendly, with a beautiful park, playground, and school a short walk from our home, which we chose for the excellent school district. Our home is inviting and spacious with 4 bedrooms and a great backyard for barbecues and swim parties.
Our Vacation Home: We love the outdoors and are thankful for our cabin located in the mountains. The weather is perfect in the summer at the lake and winter is filled with snowball fights, sledding around our property, and building giant snowmen. We are especially happy that our cabin has become a special retreat for our family and friends.
Thank You: Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us. If chosen, we promise to love your child unconditionally and honor the beauty in adoption. We pray for your decision to be one that gives you peace and comfort.
