Kristin and Rob
We are Kristin & Rob from Northern California. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We cannot fathom the difficulties you are facing but we know that you are being selfless and courageous. We know in our heart and soul that you want the best possible life for your child, and we would love to provide that for them.
We dream of a future with a child that we can love with all our hearts, which is what brought us to adoption. We look forward to precious little moments like reading a book together, seeing our child smile and laugh, watching them walk for the first time and learning to ride a bike. We look forward to sharing our love of road trips, the outdoors, cars, baking and more with a child.
Our Story: We met through a mutual friend and started dating two years after. We immediately got along, realizing that we had many similarities in personality, sense of humor and interests. Our third date was a 1,200 mile road trip to see the Grand Canyon and we have been a road trip couple ever since. After being together for five wonderful years, we decided to get married in Las Vegas on our way home from a hiking trip in Southern Utah.
We both have always had cats and we currently have four, all full of energy and love. We believe that having animals in a house while growing up brings joy to a child’s life.
In our effort to have a child, we encountered infertility and miscarriages. While this part of our journey was heartbreaking, we knew we could not let it stop us from having a family. This path has led us to adoption.
Our Hobbies & Interests: We are avid road trippers, and enjoy the journey as much as the destination. We have hiked through much of the Western US in both sun and snow, and plan to visit as many National Parks as possible. One of our close to home adventures involves our jet boat which has been in Kristin’s family for many years. It’s fun and relaxing to take the boat to the lake, go swimming and have a picnic. We enjoy spending time together, whether it’s on a trip or at home. Homegrown vegetables are the best and we enjoy watching our tomatoes, strawberries, peppers and cucumbers grow. We also have two avocado trees that we grew from a seed. Our favorite meal to make together is weekend breakfast. We have perfected scrambles with sausage and a sweet pastry. Another of our quality time activity is playing games such as Uno, Parcheesi and Rummy.
Kristin is caring, energetic and loving. As a math teacher, Kristin nurtures her students love for mathematics and is energized by their zest for life. While she refers to her students as her ‘kids’, Kristin longs for the day that she can be a mom. She looks forward to having a child that she can nurture while experiencing the world through their eyes. Kristin has two young godchildren, who do not live near by so she cherishes her time with them. She enjoys listening to all of their stories so she can get caught up on their lives when we visit.
When relaxing at home, Kristin enjoys baking, puzzles, and gardening. Her homemade cookies are a delicious secret family recipe. During the holidays, she always gets together with her mom, aunt and cousin to bake holiday goodies and play card games. She cherishes her time with family.

We live in a spacious home in Northern California. Our house has a big beautiful backyard and front yard with nice grassy areas, fruit trees, a play structure and a vegetable garden. We have an apple, pear and fig tree, which are great for climbing and produce delicious fruit. We live in the neighborhood where Kristin grew up, so we know our neighbors very well. The neighborhood is full of families and children that play in their yards, and often have a lemonade stand during summer.
There is a nearby creek path that is a peaceful place to take a walk and has spots to play in the water and climb on the rocks. There is also a neighborhood Elementary School within walking distance, that we both attended as kids. Our house is less than an hour from the ocean, the mountains where it snows during winter, and a large city.
Our Pets: We have 4 cats. Our calicos, Bally and Nubb, are lazy and love being pet. Trinity is an energetic long-haired gray that can be found playing with Spike, our young spunky black cat. Our cats bring positive energy to our house and will make wonderful playmates for our child.
Kristin’s parents and Rob’s mom live close by and we see all of them regularly for visits and dinners. They are very excited about the prospect of having grandchildren nearby and look forward to being involved in their lives and spoiling them. Kristin also has many cousins and we both have friends that live locally, with happy and active children. Our child will have many immediate friends to play with nearby.
We both have siblings that live out of the area. We talk to them regularly and see them on holidays and other occasions. Rob’s sister has two young children who would love to have a cousin. One of our regular traditions is getting together with them. We have a great time visiting local attractions with their children, and spending time together. Kristin’s brother travels back home often so we see him regularly. He can’t wait to be the uncle that spoils his niece or nephew.
Thoughts on Parenting: Education is very important to us and we are both looking forward to helping our child learn from an early age. This includes instilling the love of reading, math, science, art, and music. We also hope to teach our child to love the outdoors as we travel. We will share our interests and will nurture theirs. We look forward to sharing our family traditions with our child such as baking during Christmas and BBQing on Thanksgiving.
If you choose to entrust us with your child, we promise to unconditionally love and support them. We will provide them with a home and a family full of love, laughter, support and adventure.
In Closing: If you choose us to raise your child, know that we will provide them with love, support, guidance, compassion and happiness. We will nurture their interests and teach them about the world. Part of their world will be knowing their birth story. It is important to us to have our child know about the loving woman who allowed us to be a family. We would be honored and grateful to give your child a loving home. We look forward to being parents and have a lot to offer a child including love, support, education, adventures, pets and family. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. If you feel a connection between us, we would love to hear from you so that we can get to know each other.
Thank you so much!
