Steph & Mollie

Hello from Steph and Mollie!

We admire your courage and strength in making this selfless decision and it means so much to us that you would consider us as the adoptive parents of your child.

Starting a family is what we have wanted for so many years and we are excited for the possibility of making our dream a reality with you.

We met in Portland, Oregon in 2008. Steph was living there at the time and Mollie was in town from Los Angeles to run the Portland Marathon. Mutual friends introduced us and we immediately hit it off. Eight months later Steph moved to Los Angeles. Then in 2014, we were married!

We love being married and are proud of our marriage that’s full of love and adventure. We can’t wait to start the next chapter of our lives–starting a family of our own! We often imagine what it will be like once we are mothers–the places we’ll explore, the experiences we’ll share, and the adventures we’ll have together.

Family is the most important thing to us and we are excited to begin one of our own. We can’t wait to be moms!

We love where we live! We live on the westside of Los Angeles, not far from the beach. Our neighborhood is very family-friendly with a close-knit community and great schools.

We are active in our neighborhood association and do our best to support our local businesses. We are walking distance to parks, hiking trails, bike paths, restaurants, grocery stores, and a farmers market. On weekends you can find us hanging around our neighborhood, attending local community events or barbecuing with our next door neighbors – a couple with 2 little girls. We love our neighbors and our neighborhood!

Hello from Steph and Mollie!

Meet Mollie

I was born and raised in Southern California and come from a large, fun-loving Filipino family. I have 3 older sisters, whom I’m very close to, and they all have families of their own now. They all still live locally and we see them often.

Growing up, we went on a lot of family road trips. The laughter and the good times on those trips led me to my love of travel today. Even though I’m a Southern California girl, through and through, I love to travel and explore new places and cultures.

For work, I do casting for movies and television. I feel very lucky to work in “show business”–having fun, working with incredible people, and calling it a job.

Outside of work, photography is my passion. I love taking photos, capturing special moments to remember for all time. Whether we’re traveling or spending time with family and friends, you’ll often find me with a camera hanging around my neck. I’m looking forward to new adventures traveling with a family of our own and I know that I’ll be taking a ton of photos along the way!

Mollie is the most caring, loving, and fun person I know. She is a fantastic friend and I am very lucky to be her wife. Her kindness is genuine and her generosity comes from the heart. She has a great sense of humor and an incredible passion for adventure. Mollie is amazing with kids, always up for playing tag or ball, and they love her too!

I cannot wait to grow our family together and know that Mollie will be a wonderful mother.

-I’ve recently taught myself how to play the ukulele! (I can also play a little guitar, piano, and trumpet.)
-I love learning about astronomy and the night sky. Witnessing the total solar eclipse in 2017 was mind-blowing!
-I have run 3 full marathons and 5 half marathons.
-I enjoy riding my bike around our neighborhood. There is a bike path we can take all the way to the beach!

Meet Steph

I grew up in New England and for the past 10 years, I’ve been happy to call Los Angeles my home and have enjoyed every sunny day since I arrived. I love exploring LA and discovering new restaurants, beaches, neighborhoods, and hiking trails. I feel very lucky to have the unwavering support from my family to be who I am and pursue my dreams wherever they may take me. My older sister and I are very close and I absolutely adore her two daughters. I love being an aunt and cannot wait to be a mother! Cooking is one of my passions. I love hosting dinner parties and perfecting recipes, like my grilled Mexican corn and the perfect summer salad. I also really like gardening and have a green thumb for succulents – the best reward is when they start to flower!

For work, I am a marketer and brand builder and really enjoy helping my clients create the next big thing.

Steph truly is the woman of my dreams. I’ve always known I wanted kids, but when I met her, it became all about wanting a family with her. She is the most incredible person I know–her heart is so big and she is so much fun. The first thing our nieces, nephews, and friends’ kids say when I walk through the door is, “Where’s Auntie Steph?” She shows them so much love; they always want to play with her and be around her.

I know she is going to be an incredible mother and will do anything and everything to protect our child and provide them with the best life possible. That’s just the way she lives her life–with passion, adventure, and a ton of spirit and love.

-Mint chocolate chip is my favorite flavor of ice cream.
-I did a semester abroad in college in Australia and loved traveling all around the country!
-I played lacrosse in high school and college.
-Recently I’ve been improving my Spanish skills by taking lessons. ¡Me encanta practicar mi español!

Family, Friends & Fun

Our family and our friends are very important to us. We are very fortunate to have a huge tribe that supports us and loves us. Not only do we have fun together, but we are also there for each other in times of need.

Mollie’s family lives about 30 minutes away so we see them often. Together we have 9 nieces and nephews! We spend a lot of time with them and love to take them out on special auntie outings to the movies and the beach.

Many of our friends have kids of their own as well and we love spending time with them too, playing ball and chasing them around in a game of tag.

Steph’s family is in Northern California and Arizona. We also have more family and friends sprinkled throughout the U.S. and even abroad. We love to take long weekend trips and visit them when we can.

Our family and friends know how much they all mean to us and are excited for us to start a family of our own!

-We have traveled to 11 different National Parks together…so far. Steph’s favorite is Joshua Tree. Mollie’s favorite is Crater Lake.
-BBQ-ing with friends on the weekend is one of our favorite things to do. We make a delicious barbecued pizza!
-We love to try new foods in our city – tracking down the very best taco trucks and noodle shops.
-We enjoy visiting the newest museum exhibits, taking in the culture, and learning about different artists.
-You can often find us chasing sunrises and sunsets and admiring Mother Nature’s spectacular show.
-Favorite sports teams: Los Angeles Dodgers, New England Patriots, US Women’s National Soccer Team, Belgium’s National Soccer Team, and any team our nieces and nephews play on.
-We hike the local mountains almost every weekend. Los Angeles is more than just a busy city!
-We love camping with friends and their kids. We’re ready to add a little one to our camping crew!

-Ringing in the New Year in new places (favorites have been Iceland, Belize, New Mexico, and Oregon!)
