Stephan & Majesta
Hello! We are Majesta and Stephan
We are aware that the decision you are making is not an easy one and we greatly admire and respect your incredible courage and selflessness in choosing the path of adoption. Your choice shows the depth of your love for your child.
If we are lucky enough to be selected, we promise that your child will have a life filled with respect, learning and adventure and will always feel our unconditional love. We feel that adoption is the right path for us to take as well and we cannot wait to become parents. We hope you enjoy getting to know us.
This Is Our Story: Despite growing up twenty miles away from one another and having many friends in common we didn’t officially meet until ten years ago. We hit it off right away but Majesta had to leave for her teaching job in China two months later. It turned out that being separated by continents wasn’t enough to keep us a part.
After Stephan came for a visit to China, we realized that we weren’t just great travel partners but partners for life. We taught together at an International School in China. During that time, we not only got to work together as educators, but we also got to travel to many beautiful and fascinating places.
We are now back in the US to be closer to our families. We have a wonderful life. We share a love of adventure, family, spending time in nature, music and learning new things. And, we are goofballs! Whether we are dressing up for Halloween, exploring new places, dancing in the rain or just being silly with friends and family, laughter is always a part of our day.
We want to share our amazing world with a child. We look forward to having a new traveler along with us on our future journeys.

About Majesta, by Stephan: Majesta is my favorite person! We can spend days together and never run out of things to talk about. She is kind, confident, knowledgeable and quirky. Once, when we were traveling abroad, we got stuck in an almost deserted little town after missing the bus. No one spoke English, we hadn’t eaten, and we could only find one little dingy fast food restaurant that was open. We sat in the restaurant for hours eating horrible food and joking about how if we could get through this, we could get through anything. She is my partner through thick and thin.
Majesta has always loved the feeling of being “a stranger in a strange land.” She has traveled to many countries on her own. Her boldness and curiosity have led her to have some amazing experiences and meet many interesting people. Since we’ve met, she has nurtured my interest in exploration and now, we travel the world together. She gives me confidence and honesty. I love the person that I get to be around her.
Majesta has a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and works as a Literacy Coach. She loves being able to support both teachers and students in high needs schools across the Philadelphia area.
Majesta will be an awesome mom! I am inspired when I see her teaching kids or playing with our niece and nephews. She has a fun and energetic way of connecting with children while also providing them with consistency and guidance.
About Stephan, by Majesta: Stephan is my rock star. I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him after our first date. He was so warm and easygoing that I felt like I had known him my whole life. In addition to being an extremely talented musician he also has a heart of gold. He is honest and caring and will climb up on the roof of an abandoned house to rescue a stranded kitten (true story).
Stephan is open-minded, intelligent and creative. He can make a friend anywhere in the world and loves to dance when no one else is on the dance floor. He can find a way to fix most things around the house and he is a great cook. Stephan loves learning, exploring and trying new things, but is also happy spending time at home with friends and family.
Stephan is going to make an awesome dad. He spent time helping at his mother’s daycare so he is an expert at changing diapers and telling the difference between a real and fake cry.
Stephan is an elementary music teacher. Although he went into education later in life Stephan is a natural. He is dedicated to his students and shares his love of music with them.
Kids love him! We spend a lot of time watching our nephews. Stephan is great at ensuring they have fun and structure.
Introducing Our Village
Family is our backbone! We both have strong ties with our own and each other’s families.
Majesta’s family: My father passed away when I was very young and I was raised by my mother and her family. My older cousin is more like a sister and I am an aunt to my younger cousins and their children. Family dinners often consist of singing show tunes, teasing each other, laughter and good food!
Stephan’s Family: My family is very close knit. My parents have been married for over 40 years and I have a brother and a sister. My brother and his wife have a one-year old daughter. I am also lucky enough to still have both my grandmothers and my paternal grandfather around. We also have a huge extended family and very close to our aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
We believe friends are family too and we have an amazing and diverse circle of friends, both locally and all around the world. Getting to know people from many different cultural backgrounds is something we feel will be a great asset for our future child.
We have been overwhelmed with love and support from all our family and friends on our journey to adoption. They are all so excited (especially our moms) for us to become parents.
Our Home and Closing Thoughts
Our Neck of the Woods: We live in a comfortable ranch style 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home on a quiet street in a friendly suburban neighborhood outside of Philadelphia. We have a big back yard (where we grow many of our own vegetables) with plenty of room to run around in and a little stream to dip your toes into on a hot day.
We also are close with our neighbors and have access to their swimming pool. There are playgrounds, parks and hiking trails all within a 10-minute drive. We live only a short drive to several local farms where we buy our eggs, meat and vegetables. There is also a train station right up the street giving us easy access to all the attractions that the city of Philadelphia has to offer.
Places In Our Community We Love:
• Getting new things to read at our local library
• Kayaking at the area lake
• Buying fruits and vegetables at The Saturday Farmer’s Market
• Riding bikes on the bike path
• Doing the yearly corn maze at the local farm
Our Promise To You: We promise to provide your child with a home filled with love, learning and laughter. We will always make time to answer his or her questions, say magic spells to make boo boos stop hurting, reread their favorite bedtime stories, build a volcano for the science fair or just give hugs on blue days.
They will have a well-rounded life and be provided with all the opportunities needed to grow into an open-minded, confident and compassionate person. We want to raise them with a deep connection to family and a good sense of humor. We also promise to share their birth story with them and ensure they understand that your choice was made out of love.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our profile. We know you are facing a difficult decision and we want your choice to feel right. We feel confident that we will make a strong and loving family for your child and we are so excited to be parents. Your choice gives us the opportunity to fulfill our dreams!
