Suzie and Frank

We are Suzie & Frank from Denver, Colorado! Thank you for looking at our profile and considering us for this momentous decision! We have so much admiration and respect for you. We hope this profile shows you the kind of parents we will be. We love kids and will provide a wonderful home and family.

There are many adopted family members in our immediate and extended families. Witnessing the love in these families made adoption a natural choice to complete our family. We know that you want the best for your baby, and we will provide a loving, caring, and supportive home.

We have wonderful mentors to us as adopted parents, and our adopted niece and nephew can be excellent mentors to a child.

Our Story: We met online through in 2009. We liked each other right away and found we could talk to each other easily from the moment we met. We have similar worldviews, values, and interests, and we both love making each other laugh.

We got engaged on Christmas after about a year of dating. Frank surprised Suzie by giving her a jewelry box for a Christmas gift with a hidden engagement ring inside. We were married in August 2010 surrounded by close family and friends.

Our Hobbies: We are both avid readers and we love yoga and outdoor activities. We love hiking in the mountains outside of Denver and in State and National Parks. Frank enjoys playing guitar and Suzie likes golfing. Frank is a great cook and often makes Italian-American recipes he learned from his mom. Suzie loves to bake and makes tons of cookies around holidays. We stay involved in our community, and Suzie serves on the Board of Directors of a local charity.

We love to travel and have visited Italy, Paris, Puerto Rico, and Mexico City since we have been married. We are excited to take our child on beach and mountain vacations and to Disneyland and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

When home we love trying new restaurants. We like to relax by watching funny movies and TV shows. Mostly though, we love hanging out together and spending time with friends and family.

About Suzie

Meet Suzie by Suzie: Growing up I loved to read, play Barbies, play dress-up, and make up dances with my sisters. I took ballet, modern, and tap dance lessons for 10 years and was on my high-school dance and cheerleading teams. Throughout high-school, I baby-sat for my sisters and other neighborhood kids. We would often visit extended family in South Dakota, California, and Texas. I went to college at Nebraska Wesleyan University and then moved to Colorado.

I love doing yoga, taking hikes in the mountains, and playing golf. I also love to read — mostly mysteries, thrillers, and books on spirituality. I am so excited to read my favorite children’s books to my child.

I work in sales for an association that supports financial planners. I usually work from home and my schedule is very flexible.

I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska with my parents and two younger sisters Sally and Nancy. I am close to my parents, who have been married over 40 years, and my sisters are my best friends.

By Frank: Suzie is the most loving & easy to get along with person I have met. I have seen her be an incredibly nurturing wife, sister, and daughter and know she would be the same as a mother. Our nieces and nephews love her so much, and she has special friendships with them. She was incredibly involved raising her sisters and helped them transition from college to adulthood. I know she will be an excellent and supportive Mom.

Suzie Loves:

  • Getting manicures and pedicures
  • Going to bookstores
  • Having brunch with friends
  • Watching NBA basketball and reality TV
  • Baking cupcakes and muffins

About Frank

Meet Frank by Frank: I grew up in Pocatello, Idaho and Crawfordsville, Indiana. My parents have been married over 50 years and are from the New York City area. We would visit family there every year and often go to the ocean. My Grandparents would stay with us for months at a time and were great to be around. I played guitar in a band in high school and had a large group of musician friends.

I went to college at DePauw University in Indiana and moved to Colorado two years later. I enjoy cooking and playing guitar. I look forward to taking a child to the ocean and mountains and letting my Mom feed pasta to her new grandchild. All her grandchildren are adopted, so a new grandchild will fit right in!

I am a commercial real estate appraiser. I work at home and my job is very flexible since I am self-employed. I plan on taking extended time off after we adopt to give our family a great start.

By Suzie: I know Frank will be a wonderful dad! He is kind, funny, loyal, and incredibly supportive. He is always making me laugh and coming up with silly jokes. He cooks amazing Italian food and can fix just about anything around our house. Frank has planned trips for us all over the country and world. He always encourages me to try new things. He has so much love for his nieces and nephews and always wants to spend time with them. I know he will have so much fun with our child and will be a loving and caring Dad.

Frank Loves:

  • Reading about history and other cultures
  • Going to concerts
  • Watching the Indiana Pacers
  • Watching old movies from the 60’s and 70’s
  • Learning languages – like Italian, French, & Spanish

About Frank

Our Home

We live near Central Denver in a neighborhood full of young families and children! Our house was built in the 1920s and has three bedrooms, a nursery room, two bathrooms, and a large fenced-in back yard. There are lots of child-friendly restaurants, coffee shops, and parks in walking distance. There is a beautiful lake, playground, recreation center, and public pool just down the street from our house.

We have close access to national parks and forests, ski areas, and cute mountain towns. We have a lot of options for schools and can choose from two different school districts. We love exploring! Last summer we hiked Mt. Elbert – The tallest mountain in Colorado!

On Parenting: We plan to raise our child in an open-minded and loving home! We will encourage our child’s interests and make sure they always feel supported and confident. Education and spiritually are very important to us. We want our child to learn about their culture and ours, and to learn to be a kind and considerate member of the community. We promise to raise our child to be strong and independent, but to also know that they are loved unconditionally.

Our Loved Ones

Suzie has two younger sisters, Sally and Nancy. Nancy lives near us in Denver, and Sally lives in Nebraska with her husband and kids Ellie (4) and Collin (2). We love visiting them. We have lots of fun taking the kids to parks, ice cream shops, and going swimming. It is so fun to see them grow up! Suzie’s parents also live in Nebraska and love being Grandparents. They are extremely excited about having a new grandchild. We try to visit Omaha a few times a year, and they visit us in Colorado often.

Frank’s parents and his sister’s family live near Lansing Michigan. His sister’s family is an adopted family with a son and daughter (Andrei and Larisa) who are in their late teens. We see them a few times a year, but that will definitely increase when there is another grandchild. We love spending time with our niece and nephew and have taken them cross-county skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, golfing, and to NBA and NHL games.

We have a large group of diverse friends, including many with small children and growing families. Our friends and family are incredibly important to us, and we have a great support system. Our families and our friends are so excited for us to welcome a child and grow our family.

In Closing: Thank you again for taking the time to learn more about us. We are so excited to be parents! Your child will be so loved by us and our families. We promise to raise your child with unconditional support and care in a loving home, where they will always know they are treasured. We are so honored and grateful that you have considered us as adopted parents.
