Tim & Micah
Hello and thank you!
We are Tim and Micah.
We are Tim & Micah from beautiful southern California. Thank you for taking the time to look through our profile. As you look through these photos of our life together, we hope they help you picture the type of family we would be and the life and love we could share with your child. We understand that many factors go into deciding to make an adoption plan, but we know your decision is rooted in love and a desire to do what is best for your child. We often talk about the brave woman who will go on this adoption journey together with us.
If you think that maybe you, we cannot wait to meet you! We wish you genuine success in your adoption journey.
Getting to Know Us
It all started with a game of loaded question! We met at a Christmas party 6 years ago where we played that game and couldn’t stop laughing at each other’s answers.
Today our home is still filled with games and laughter. As we got to know each other, we soon learned that we had so much in common like our love of music, our mutual ability to always pick a movie with a sad ending and a dislike of tomatoes. As our relationship grew stronger, we also learned we had deeper things in common – our strong desire to be parents, our shared belief that adoption was the right choice for us and a deeply held sense of values we would teach our children.
After 4 years of happily living together, we got married at one of our favorite places, the beach! It was an amazing ceremony (we’re pretty sure we caught the officiant crying). We are so excited to welcome a child into our family as we start the next chapter of our lives.

More About Us
About Tim By Tim
I grew up in Los Angeles and have lived here my whole life. I grew up with my mom, my dad, and my older brother. Most of our weekends were spent at the beach, and we still love going today.
Although I’ve never lived anywhere else, I still love going to new places and trying new things. I’m very lucky to have been able to travel extensively. Some of my favorite places I’ve been are Italy, France, Malaysia and Brazil.
I have always enjoyed games and puzzles, and in a lot of ways consider myself to be a kid at heart. I spent my 20s volunteering with youth and adolescents, which involved going to camps, playing games, building relationships and going to sports games and high school plays.
In my free time I love making music. I taught myself to play guitar and piano.
I work as Director of Software Development for a marketing services company. My job allows me to balance my creativity with my nerdy side that loves science and technology.
About Tim By Micah
I am so fortunate to have someone like Tim in my life. He is such a compassionate, loving, smart and thoughtful person, always thinking of others and being there for people with an open ear. He’s quick to make me laugh with a silly pun or embarrassing dad joke that makes my eyes roll. Tim has a sense of wonder and curiosity about the world that is so infectious. He’s always trying to understand how something works or figuring out how to fix or improve something. He’s that guy everyone needs at a board game night who reads through the rules so he can explain to everyone how to play.
Tim will be such an amazing father. When I see him around our nephews, I see how he lights up playing with them – bringing to them the same sense of wonder and joy for learning I see in him every day.
About Micah by Micah
I was also born and raised in Los Angeles. When I graduated high school, I couldn’t wait to go explore the east coast so I packed my bags for Boston. After college, I really missed California and couldn’t wait to come back. I can’t imagine living anywhere else!
Ever since I could enroll in band in school, I’ve been a band geek. Music has always been my biggest passion. I started out playing trumpet, later teaching myself piano and guitar. I knew I always wanted music to be a major part of my life so I attended Berklee College of Music where I got my degree in Music Business. I currently work at a company that creates music for films, brands and TV shows such as the Real Housewives and The Voice.
When I am not playing an instrument, I am usually in the kitchen baking (I have a big sweet tooth!). I love to bake things for other people, be it my favorite chocolate chip cookies or trying my hand at a fancy, challenging recipe from The Great British Bake Off.
About Micah by Tim
I adore my husband! Micah is thoughtful, tender, considerate and dependable. He is so passionate about his work in the music industry. His knowledge of music is truly impressive. He is so incredibly talented, creative and funny. He makes me laugh everyday and brings so much joy to our home. Micah is always up for an impromptu adventure, and there is no one I’d rather go on one with.
Watching him play with our two nephews (pictures coming soon!) I just know he’d make an amazing dad. He makes me feel loved every day of my life and I know our child will feel the same. All this, and he knows his way around a kitchen! I feel so lucky to have married such an incredible man.
Our Family and Home
Love Makes A Family
We are very fortunate that most of our family lives near us.
Micah’s parents live in the San Fernando Valley where they own and operate a local lighting store together. Our child would be Micah’s parents’ first grandchild and they are beyond excited (they’ve been dropping hints for a while!). Tim’s dad lives a short two miles away. We are very close to our family and see each other all the time. All our brothers and sisters are very excited to be aunts and uncles. Our family time is spent going to parks with our nephews, swimming in Micah’s parents’ pool and going to the beach as a family.
Holidays are a fun time in our family. We love to celebrate Christmas and take turns hosting with Tim’s family. Every year we pick out new ornaments for our oversized Christmas tree and spend Christmas morning in our PJs eating fresh cinnamon buns. Micah’s family is Jewish so every year his parents throw a not-to-be missed Hanukkah party, complete with a latke making lessons hosted by Micah’s dad.
When we’re not with our family, we love having our friends over to the house for a backyard BBQ or a game night.
When I think of home…
We live in sunny Los Angeles, CA. We live in a ranch-style house with a spacious kitchen and backyard great for entertaining.
Our neighborhood is very family friendly with a large park a short walk from our front door complete with basketball courts, play areas and even a skate park. We are just minutes away from the beach, and a short drive to many world-famous landmarks like the Santa Monica Pier, the Hollywood Bowl and Disneyland. Micah and I both grew up in LA and can’t wait to show our child all our favorite hidden spots.
Redondo Beach has always held a special place in our hearts. We spent a lot of time there throughout our relationship walking around the pier, checking out the shops or grabbing a bite. No trip to the pier is complete without a visit to the Fun Factory! It’s a funky arcade that time forgot. You could win some pretty weird prizes like an antique clown clock or a rice cooker. We once spent hours playing games to win enough tickets to get the “mystery bag” (we had to know what was inside!). After our rehearsal dinner, we took all of our friends and family to the Fun Factory so they could experience one of our favorite, silly places to go as a couple.
One last thank you
We hope that you were able to get to know us a bit. We would love to get to know you as well!
Thank you so much for taking the time to consider us. Know that we are preparing ourselves in every possible way to raise a child who is secure in who they are and able to thrive in the world.
