Hello, I’m Vanessa. Thank you for letting me share with you who I am today, and why I know this is my time to be a Mom.
Dear Birth Mother: Nurture, care, love, listening, empathy, understanding, determination, focus and resilience have been a part of my personality for as long as I can remember, and my journey to become a Mom has shown me that adoption is my true calling. I would be honored to raise your baby.
I welcome your being as involved as you would want to be, yet if your wish is for me to take the reins entirely, I assure you that I will make you proud. I am here for it all. I am prepared. The time is now.
About Me: My days are anchored in gratitude. I am healthy, stable, enjoy life, I live in a wonderful house and neighborhood, and I am close to my large and loving family.
I celebrate that I have worked so hard to be where I am and have a life that brings me fulfillment, joy, love, and blessings, which I am so excited to share with a baby.
The most important things to me are my family and my friends. A healthy, active lifestyle and travel are also a huge part of my life. And I take great pride in my commitment to my career as a Marketing Director for a national home and design magazine.
I enjoy entertaining at home, being active outdoors, going out for meals, art shows, concerts, girl spa dates, nails, shopping, playing games, BBQs and ping pong in the back yard, reading, taking baths, gardening and giving back to my community through charity work.
While I tried to conceive both naturally and through medical experts/options over the years, my true calling came to me many years ago—to adopt! And here I am! Ready to adopt, love and nurture your baby.
My Perfect Day Looks Like:
- Being with family or close friends
- Doing something active and then relaxing
- Enjoying a long meal with lots of great conversation
- Snuggling and lots of laughing!
Things That Make Me Happy:
- A child’s laughter
- Water—a pool, a bath, the ocean
- A feel good comedy
- Long walks
More About Me
I am happy, energetic, fun, adventurous, kind, loving, respectful, compassionate, silly, dedicated, motivated, and a strong woman. I am proud of all of those things! Nothing makes me happier than sharing time with family and friends, being good and kind to others and helping to make the world a better, brighter place. I really mean it. I enjoy camping as much as I do a fancy restaurant dinner. I enjoy an expensive vacation as much as I do volunteering at a refugee camp.
- All people, cultures, places, experiences
- Hugs and cuddles
- Hard work
- Home improvement projects
- Reading and journaling
- Knowing better and doing better
- Being real
- Being your best self
My Career: I work as a Marketing Director for an architecture and interior design magazine. I really like my job! I truly enjoy it each and every day!
My Journey to Parenthood: I have learned from my parents and my friends that are parents that parenting is a journey. In my experience, journeys (whether fulfilling a passion, traveling, embracing a challenge) take desire, will, thought, planning, organization, usually some sort of finance, passion and a solid execution.
Yet for all the planning, desire and will, I have learned that in order to best navigate a journey you also have to remember to be prepared for the unexpected (because it will happen!) and to embrace any and all moments—the ones you planned and the ones you weren’t expecting.
I promise I have the desire, will and passion to be a good, steady, fair and fun Mom. I know I am organized, have money and there is a solid plan in place. I respect that when life doesn’t go ‘my way’ or ‘the way’ I had planned that those are lessons and learning opportunities.
I know the most important thing overall is to be true to your values and yourself, do your best, be kind, be honest, love and respect those around you and the world you live in and if you do blessings will follow.
My family and friends love to hang out in my house, my neighborhood and my community… and so do I!
I love being outdoors and walking my dog Mia every single day, saying hi and catching up with neighbors and their kids. I spend a lot of time ‘nesting’ inside too. I’m always doing some sort of home project or working in the yard. I love cooking or BBQing and enjoying all the lovely smells and tastes! I love to play all kinds of games with friends and family. I can’t wait to play endlessly with my kiddo.
I love my community. I go to the beach regularly and up into the mountains hiking, and I love sports. Hiking, swimming, skiing, biking, tennis and basketball are some of my favorites. Farmer’s markets, discovering new restaurants, parks, museums and so much more are all things I also look forward to sharing with a child.
I live with my one and only girl, Mia—a feisty, beautiful, loving, energetic (and sometimes naughty) chocolate lab. She is 9 years old, but still has a puppy personality! Thankfully, she listens just a bit better than when she was a pup…
Life is never boring, that’s for sure!
Travel and Adventure: I love traveling. I always have! I was born and raised in Europe and my parents blessed us with travel to so many amazing places and I haven’t stopped. I can’t wait to continue to explore and experience the world.
Family comes first in my life and in my world. Always. I am very close to my family and I also have friends that I consider family. There is no shortage of a ‘village’ of loving people in my life, and I am so blessed for it.
I have four siblings; two sisters and two brothers—two live in California and two in Europe. I also have two nephews and a niece who I love dearly and are so much fun! I have a large extended family through my stepmom, who has been a second mom to me for thirty years. She has four siblings and many of them have children. We all get together often. A family meal can be anywhere from 7 to 25 people and we love it that way!
We Most Enjoy:
- Catching up and sharing stories
- Doing sports
- Exploring the outdoors
- Playing games
- Cooking and enjoying meals
- Just chilling out.
When We’re Not Together:
- We love staying in touch over zoom or sending each other fun pictures and videos
- We even pen-pal – writing letters and receiving them is so fun!
One Last Thank You
My promise to you and to your baby is that I am ready to be a mother. I know it wholeheartedly—both emotionally and logistically.
I want to be a mother more than anything; because I know I have so much to give and share.
In my life I have nurtured, guided, loved, and helped raise four younger siblings, been a ‘stepmom’ to several very special kids, volunteered with Syrian refugee children in Greece, worked in daycare, tutored countless children, worked in summer camps, had numerous dogs, fostered animals, and just as importantly… I try every day to shake someone’s hand, say thank you to everyone that shows me a kindness, and smile at another human, just because.
I have an innate ability to take care of people and I would be so honored to be entrusted with the nurturing, care, and raising of your baby into a fine, happy, stable, productive human being.
My heart and thoughts are with you.
