Back in January 2020, we met in Los Angeles and it felt like fate had a hand in it. We clicked instantly, probably because we share the same sense of humor, love to travel, and knew that while our tastes in movies are drastically different, we would make it work. When COVID hit, spending time in our bubble made our bond stronger. Fast forward to the present, and it’s been an amazing four years! We’ve laughed a lot, made new friends and have had the privilege of exploring nine countries together. Moreover, Daniel has had the pleasure of enjoying Erdi’s delectable cooking, while Erdi has relished Daniel’s ability to order in from local restaurants. In thinking about our future, we are looking forward to more adventures, joy, and hopefully, adding a little one to our crew.

It's a pleasure to meet you! I grew up in Albania as part of a large family, much like in the movie “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” My fondest memories are spending summers in Greece with my aunt: lounging on the beach and indulging in fresh seafood and my aunt’s baklava. In 2008, I started a new chapter in life when I moved to California for college. California has been my home ever since. During my downtime, I find joy in the outdoors and attending classes at our local CrossFit community, where I’ve met countless supportive individuals, all striving to maintain their well-being. Cooking serves as another outlet for me, allowing me to explore diverse flavors and ingredients. Professionally, I am a certified public accountant, specializing in risk auditing. What I value most about my job is the flexibility it affords me to work from home, allowing for quality family moments that we hold dear. Looking ahead, I’m excited to explore the world and discover new hobbies with Daniel and our future child.

Erdi is an extraordinary man, a delightful blend of wit, intelligence, and boundless joy. His humor is a gift that makes everyday life a pleasure. But it’s not just his humor that I admire; it’s his insatiable thirst for knowledge and growth that truly sets him apart. Every day, Erdi seeks to learn, to evolve, to become the best version of himself. I am constantly amazed by his capacity to embrace new ideas, to challenge himself, and to strive for greatness. In Erdi, I’ve found not just a husband, but a partner who compliments me in every way. I couldn’t have asked for a better companion. I am grateful beyond words for his presence, for his love, and for the way he inspires me to be a better person every single day. And, as the cherry on top of the cake, he is an amazing cook.

I'm honored to share a bit about myself with you! I grew up in Los Angeles, California. I had an amazing childhood filled with laughter, love, and the delicious scents of my mom’s cooking—think tamales, flan, and all those mouth watering Mexican dishes. Currently, I love staying active outdoors, whether it’s hiking through nature trails or simply taking a stroll in the park. I also love to learn about different cultures, trying new foods, and immersing myself in podcasts. Professionally, I serve as an executive at a national nonprofit that empowers young leaders, from all over the country, to achieve their dreams. As I think about parenthood, I can’t wait to spend long days at the beach reading books with Erdi and our future child, or spending the day hiking and barbecuing at night. I am excited to share all that I know with our future child and understand that, in return, I will become a better person by learning from them.

Daniel is very supportive and encourages me in every endeavor. He really likes seeing other people succeed. In the first year of our relationship, while I was immersed in studying for the CPA exams, Daniel’s support was unwavering. He was patient and uplifting, helping me stay focused, which only deepened our bond and mutual understanding. Beyond his support, Daniel is smart, funny, and full of surprises. His love for travel, history, and passion for museums and antique shopping always make our adventures educational and enjoyable. I’m constantly learning something new, not just about the world, but also about him. Daniel is more than a partner; he’s a source of joy, knowledge, and inspiration. I am incredibly fortunate to have him in my life and am excited about the future we will build together and with our future child.

Our home in Whittier, California, provides us with the perfect blend of urban convenience and suburban charm. We’re just a short drive away from both beaches and mountains. We live within walking distance of a quaint, historical downtown area full of restaurants, boutique shops, and children’s playgrounds, which is ideal for family outings and morning/evening strolls. Our favorite feature of our home is our spacious backyard, which we envision as a future playground for our child. Daniel finds joy in gardening, while Erdi loves playing with our dog, Zeus, in this outdoor space. We also have a second home in the alpine mountain community of Green Valley Lake, which is just 1.5 hours away from our Whittier, CA home. There, we relish hikes, gatherings with friends, and walks by the lake during one to two weekends each month. We’re super excited about welcoming our child into our lives! We can’t wait to share all the joy and excitement that comes with these moments and make innumerable new memories together.

Zeus is our affectionate husky. With seemingly boundless energy, he’s our unofficial alarm clock and exercise buddy. Zeus goes with us everywhere we go, including our dates, where he silently judges our choice of restaurants. He’s a master of fun and games, always ready for endless fetch sessions. Plus, he’s incredibly gentle and patient with kids, making him the ideal playmate for young children. We know he’ll bring boundless joy to your child’s days.

Our families are very important to us- they surround us with love and support. Daniel's family, including his mom, dad, and two brothers, have always fostered a warm and inclusive environment at home, rooted in Mexican and American cultural traditions. They instilled in him the values of hard work, respect, and education. Additionally, he is very close to this grandmother, and visits her in Mexico as much as he can.

Erdi's parents live in Albania, and we visit them every summer, where they welcome us with open arms. Additionally, Erdi’s brother and sister-in-law live very close to us, forming a strong support system in our daily lives.

We have family scattered across the United States, Mexico, and in Europe in places like Germany, Belgium, and Italy. We make sure to visit them frequently and love the idea of our future child spending time with the extended family and exploring different countries. Our relatives from abroad also visit us in California. Surprisingly, we even learned how to surf from our German cousins—quite unexpected!
